Each week for the next 9 to 10 weeks (starting during the 1st week of April), GlobalData will be releasing the results of its weekly analysis of the impact of COVID-19 on Consumer Goods markets around the world.

This analysis accounts for shifts in GDP, the epidemiology of the disease, and changing consumer consumption behaviours.

For 110 countries and 107 product categories across food, drinks, personal care, home hygiene, pet care and tobacco, we will be providing forecasts from 2020 through to 2023 on our most likely ‘Slowdown’ impact scenario alongside a ‘Baseline’ set of data for comparison purposes.

For a deep dive into our coverage of these forecasts, please see our methodology breakdown on your Consumer Intelligence Center.

Our updated forecasts will enable you to understand the impact of COVID-19 on consumer goods markets as it changes across time, quickly comparing the outputs of the ‘Slowdown’ scenario to an initial set of ‘Baseline’ data, and using highly visual calculations to spot the key differences.
